2025 SPANISH SUMMER CAMP @ Palm Valley School

Schedule: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Location: Palm Valley School. 35525 Da Vall Dr, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270

Open to all Coachella Valley K-6th kids: locals and visitors.

Levels: Novice, Beginning, and Intermediate.

Group instruction in a diverse and multigrade class.

Minimum amount of students to run the camp: 10 campers per week

Teachers:

Mrs. Yipsy De Armas, bilingual certified teacher. Native Spanish speaker. Master's degree in Spanish and Bachelor´s degree in Education. 25 years of experience.

Mrs. Ivanna Castro, bilingual teacher. Native Spanish speaker who holds a Bachelor's degree in Education. 7 years of experience.

Description: Campers will learn Spanish through games, songs, outdoor play, hands-on activities, arts and crafts, and performances. A weekly Spanish project will be implemented to enhance their conversation, grammar, listening, writing, and reading skills. Teachers will engage with campers bilingually, one-on-one, and in small groups.

Method: Experiential and communicative to improving the kid’s conversational skills towards fluency.

Media: Face-to-face using Spanish in the kid’s real-life environment: family, animals, pets, school, etc.

Materials: textbook, workbook, audios, and videos according to the Spanish curriculum and program.

Resources: Unlimited access to the Spanish e-learning platform, bilingual dictionaries, translators, and verb conjugators.

Tuition: ** Entire Week: $300 per camper (4 days). Half week-tuition: $150 per camper (2 days in a row or separately)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00am - 4:00pm.

Late fee policy: $1 per minute after 4:01pm.Due at the time of picking up the child.

Meals: NO am/pm snacks/lunch will be provided. Students should bring their own snacks, lunch, water bottles, and hand sanitizer.
